My nursling is almost ONE! It's been rough, my last year has been full of nursing every 2 hours, but I can say it has been the most rewarding year of my life! I truly wont miss all those sleepless nights, early mornings, clogged milk ducts, and bouts of mastitis. But, I will miss: a reason to sit down for a bit and cuddle with my WiggleWorm, nourishing my little man, providing him with valuable immunities and all those wonderful hormones that seem to melt away my worries and allow me to focus and love on my little boy. I don't know when he will decide that "real" food is better than mommy and her milkies...I do know that every day that I can provide this liquid gold I will cherish! I so love my little nursling!

First Friend Party'
So today WiggleWorm had a birthday party for a friend...his first! I love firsts! He had a great time at K's party! There were lots of kids and he was great! I always worry about how I'm doing as a mom... Am I making sure he is socializing him enough, learning to be around other kids, is he too much of a mama's boy? (I've been told I'm over protective! Who can blame me in today's world though) But today I was happily surprised that he did great! He "talked" to other parents, played with kids, shared toys, backed off on toys when older kids were going wild. It is absolutely amazing to watch him become an independent 'lil man. At first he wanted to be around me, and understandably so, we were at a new place. But with in minuets he was playing beside me and before I knew it he was off! He was one worn out little boy when we left. But, I felt like we had a great day! He is growing up so fast! Oh, Happy 1st Birthday K! Hope you had a day as awesome as yours! Your party was a Blast!

Good Morning
I'm not a morning person, but in the last year I've discovered mornings have become one of my favorite times of day. I love waking up to my handsome lil WiggleWorm :-) Giggles, he turns my frown upside down! And how could it not? I wake up to a little whimper and then a smile, a little pudgy hand on my face, or a slimy wet kiss from my handsome little boy. And a smile spreads across my face. He likes to wake up his daddy too, he climbs over me and up to his dad and gives him a slimy drooly kiss and then pinches his nose and says "honk." I can't help to laugh. WiggleWorm isn't even a year old and his sense of humor shines bright. I love that WiggleWorm is the one to wake our little family up. He wakes me then either goes for Daddy or the Muppies (monster puppies). The Muppies aren't usually as excited to be woken up with a little boy yelling "Una" or "Day" and then getting slapped on the head, tail or paw being pulled. And I can see their point of view, but goodness I love the mornings when our family is curled up in our warm bed sharing those first giggles, smiles and kisses of the day. And then there comes a time when we have to crawl out of bed and start the day with our version of milk and cereal :-)
